Fill small pot halfway (or slightly over halfway) with water.
Bring the water to boil.
Once the water is boiling, carefully add your desired amount of eggs.
Boil the eggs for 12-14 minutes for hard boiled eggs.
Once the eggs are done, remove the pot from the heat and carefully drain the boiling water, keeping the eggs in the pot.
Fill the pot with enough cold water to fully cover the eggs, then add a handful of ice to the pot to stop the cooking process.
Let the eggs sit in the ice and water for 5-10 minutes, until cooled.
